What do you get when you mix Brandon Relf, the skill percussion force behind San Diego's poly rhythm masters Sleeping People, with Bobby Bray, the pedal hopping guitar player/vocalist in the bug-outfit wearing "Sci-Fi Grind Core" band The Locust? Add in Midi guitar, sparse falsetto vocals and you get post prog-skronk space-tropicalia math-lounge... heavy on the freakery though.
So what the heck are they going for with the name Innerds anyways? A commentary on the way nerdy musicians form insular bands? A silly poke at deathmetal band names? Or perhaps its a dork hotel in reverse... yeah, that must be it!
